A promise is a frozen river

Why did you think that you could keep me with words of love

Why did you think that you could keep me with only words

Words new, and unheard by my ears, I grant you that

But only words, a whisper in my ears, a breeze in my life

I am earth, I am flesh, I need a touch

Don’t promise, do

Don’t speak, embrace

A promise is a frozen river, cold, motionless

I want actions, the river flowing, lit up by the sparkling sun

I want life

I am precious, my life is precious

With or without you

About blue

I am a divorced single mum to a teenage kid, and at present re-emigrating to my homecountry Germany. Writing helps me to clear my thoughts, but as well to turn sadness, fear, and regret into something beautiful and release it from my heart.
