Merry-go-round

There is a little merry-go-round in my heart.
Turning very slowly.
On it all the men I love, all of them.

At times it almost stops, and I see a face.
Sometimes it’s one from the past, sometimes it’s one I know now.
All the men I love and loved.

Right now I can’t afford to have it stop.
I need myself now, my life, my dream, my book.
And maybe some more men will enter the merry-go-round in the meantime.

At one point it will stop.
One day in the future I will allow it to stop.
And the one who looks at me, steps down and takes my hand, this will be the one.

About blue

I am a divorced single mum to a teenage kid, and at present re-emigrating to my homecountry Germany. Writing helps me to clear my thoughts, but as well to turn sadness, fear, and regret into something beautiful and release it from my heart.
